Ramallah a Millbrae friendship City, is located in the central West Bank, serves as the de facto administrative capital of the State of Palestine. Situated on the Judaean Mountains, it lies 10 kilometers (6 miles) north of Jerusalem, at an average elevation of 872 meters (2,861 feet) above sea level. Ramallah emerged as a key political, cultural, and economic center, housing Palestinian governmental bodies, museums, and cultural centers. While historically a predominantly Christian town, Muslims now constitute a majority of its 38,998 residents¹². The city's name, "Rām Allāh," translates to "God's Height" in Arabic. It's a vibrant place with a notable nightlife scene and a rich history that dates back to the 16th century.
